Outlaws and Black Sox trade late-round Draft Picks to complete Plawecki trade

When the Black Sox and Outlaws discussed sending Kevin Plawecki to Flagstaff, they agreed on a two-part deal that included swapping late round 100K picks. Today, those picks came due and Flagstaff will send their 27th Round pick, infield Chris Owings, to Chicago for their 29th Round pick, outfielder Myles Straw.

“We actually had Chris Owings on our draft board at one point,” Outlaws GM Greg Newgard said, “but as we evaluated our needs, we ended up deciding against it.

“We’ve been watching Miles Straw for awhile and we like his combination of speed at constant skills.”
