Infidels and Outlaws hook up for second time in the offseason

After something of a blockbuster in the Davis/Kopech deal on Thanksgiving, the Ravenswood Infidels and Flagstaff Outlaws have announced a minor trade today.

A terse press release states that Flagstaff sends reliever Pedro Baez to Ravenswood for OF Dylan Cozens.

With all the trading, Baez was setup to be a key component in the backend of the Flagstaff bullpen, but with a 2.1M price tag, the Outlaws must have felt better continuing to add to their crop of younger talent.

When reached by text, Outlaws GM Greg Newgard stated “It’s not all about the money, but we project to be at 35M free going into the auction now, not counting some bad contracts we could consider dumping, is a nice position. We still have to add a ton of pitching moving forward, but in what looks like a rebuilding season, we’re confident we can do that.”
