Flagstaff still can’t stop trading, hooks up with Myrtle Beach now

A weary Outlaws GM stepped to the podium to announce their seventh trade of the offseason.

“I can only hope that after this announcement, we can take a breather because this is getting old,” Newgard sighed. “But if we’re going to rebuild, let’s do it.

“Flagstaff sends Travis Shaw to Myrtle Beach. In exchange, we get prospect catcher Keibert Ruiz and college 1B/OF Spencer Torkleson as well as reliever Darren O’Day.”

During this offseason, Flagstaff has overhauled their farm club, especially when it comes to hitting prospects. In fact, Flagstaff now has 25 players on their roster that are farm-eligible, creating something of a logjam on the farm.

“It’ll all shake out,” Newgard nodded. “We’ll have to take a thorough examination of our farm and see if we keep everyone, or if there are some more mediocre talent we can flip or cut.”
