Flagstaff can’t stop trading, lands Ray from Saskatoon

After clearing out some additional salary space since the 2019 offseason began, the Flagstaff Outlaws decided to spend some of that money to land another young bat.

The Outlaws acquired OF Corey Ray in exchange for taking on the salaries of P Dominic Leone and IF Brandon Drury. The Outlaws sent back to Yunel Escobar to complete both sides of the deal.

“We’ve watched Ray for several years, so the chance to land him came and we had plenty cap space to pounce,” Outlaws GM Greg Newgard said. “It’ll likely cost about 4M to cut Leone and Drury, so it’s a good price point for us here.”
