Flagstaff continues to tread water by struggling against decent competition, this time splitting against the Las Vegas Flamingos.

After having all the important jockeying for playoff position taken care of, the Flagstaff Outlaws turned their mind to making sure players were well rested while still trying to play their best baseball. They finished the season with a home-and-home with the Las Vegas Flamingos, who needed to avoid as many losses as possible to stay in the Benes Division race.

The Las Vegas Flamingos were sitting at .500 as they hosted the Flagstaff Outlaws, but they still only were one game out of first place behind the Benes Division-leading South Loop Furies. Vegas had managed a split in their first series in Flagstaff and were looking forward to trying to make up some ground when hosting those same Outlaws.

The Las Vegas Flamingos have done one thing well all season, they hit home runs. They ended up blasting thirteen homers against the Flagstaff Outlaws, including eight in the final two games to earn something no team has done all season, split with the Outlaws.
