Ryche manhandle Outlaws

The Flagstaff Outlaws continue to slump, once again dropping the first three games of the series before rallying to prevent a sweep, this time at the hands of the Akron Ryche.

Game 1: Clevinger v. Wood – Jeimer Candelaro gets things started during the first at bat with a solo homer. David Dahl and Starling Marte add RBIs in the fourth. Then a Ronald Acuna homer followed by a Chris Taylor RBI triple gives Akron a commanding 5-0 lead.

Paul Goldschmidt hits a garbage time homer with two outs in the ninth to break up the shutout, but Akron easily takes the opener, 5-1.

Munoz adds two more RBI doubles in his next appearances to push Akron to a 4-0 advantage before Flagstaff can answer with a Andrelton Simmons RBI groundout.

Trevor Richards is asked to soak up innings and manages to get through six innings on 154 pitches, but allows fourteen hits and six walks over than span, allowing fourteen runs to score.
