Outlaws land fill-in catcher from Chicago

In a minor deal, the Flagstaff Outlaws bought catcher Kevin Plawecki from the Chicago Black Sox.

Plawecki is due just 1.1M next season but will team up with Andrew Knapp and John Ryan Murphy to form a three-headed platoon behind the plate.

Flagstaff sent Bryan Shaw to complete the deal, but it’s not likely Chicago will offer Shaw a contract.
